Giuska is in charge of every aspect of the Locanda. A theatre actress by trade, for over 20 years she worked in the organisation of major cultural events and weddings all over Italy. Head of events for Medici Senza Frontiere Italia, she is also trained in force-free horse handling.

Olga personally leads some of the seminars and retreats held during the year. A retired doctor, she is also a yoga teacher and an Ayurvedic medicine practitioner.

Désirée takes care of planning cultural activities at the Locanda. Tuscan by birth and Maremman by choice, following a long period in Rome where she worked for 15 years in the non-profit sector (AMREF Italy and ASIA) and 10 years as a member of the GRIOT bookshop (specialising in African and Middle Eastern literature), today she is the the entrepreneur and farmer of the estate and has a particular passion for bees.

The Fontelupa project was created with the input of Silvio Ursini, an expert in design, architecture and antiques; he has worked for international hotel groups and is an active member of environmental and cultural associations in the Maremma, where he has lived for some years.

Stefano is the chef responsible for sourcing ingredients and heads the kitchen at the Locanda.

Ivaldo, Sandra and Srilal and Rosy take care of the farm and the Locanda’s rooms and facilities.
